The "Life with" series was created with busy parents in mind.
Based on research, these kits each include a DVD and booklet
with helpful parenting tips. Research tells us that parenting
has the greatest influence in a young child's healthy
development. So these kits are designed to increase
parent-child interaction and show parents how to make everyday
moments count. For more information about our kits and to

Parenting
Counts
is a family of products for parents and children, birth to
five created and disseminated by Talaris Institute. Focused on
bonding, brain development and social-emotional development,
these products help parents understand the importance of
parenting in the early years. By learning how children think,
feel and learn. With this knowledge, parents are more capable
of helping their children grow in healthy ways. Research tells
us that the bond between a parent and child is created in the
first five years. This parental bond is the foundation for all
learning and the foundation for all relationships developed
later in the child's life. That's why Parenting Counts!
The Mission of the Talaris Institute: To Support Parents
and Caregivers in Raising Socially and Emotionally Healthy
Children.
These twelve different Spots, or video clips, say a lot about
best parenting practices in only 60 seconds. Engaging,
poignant, and of superior quality, each Spot was carefully
crafted to quickly convey important child development research
findings.
Tell Me A Story!
Sharing stories is a bridge between speaking and reading that
begins in infancy and continues throughout childhood.
Together, sharing books and sharing stories are powerful ways
to encourage children’s emerging literacy AND a great way to
help strengthen the bond between you and your child.
